We are Mike and Chris, two dedicated and passionate person-centred professionals eager to help you toward emotional wellness and personal growth. With years of experience and a deep commitment to our clients, we strive to provide a compassionate and supportive environment where you can discover your inner strengths and transform your life.

We realized the profound impact that Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) could have on individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation, harmful behaviours, and interpersonal conflicts. We continue to be inspired by the resilience and courage we see in our clients, which fuels our continued passion.

As person-centred therapists, we believe every individual possesses the innate ability to grow and heal. Our role is to provide the tools and guidance needed to tap into your inner resources and facilitate change. We are deeply committed to understanding your unique experiences, empathizing with your struggles, and celebrating your victories.

Our approach to DBT combines the evidence-based techniques of this powerful therapy with the warmth and authenticity of person-centred counselling. We create an atmosphere of trust, respect, and non-judgment, allowing you to explore your thoughts, feelings, and behaviours with courage and openness. We work culturally sensitively and responsive, blending Western and traditional worldviews. 

In 2022, Mike and Chris provided an 8-week DBT Mindfulness program to Indigenous and Métis participants. Then in September, they started 28 weeks of DBT Skills group counselling, completed mid-March 2023. In addition, various clients have been receiving individual DBT counselling.

Through STG Health Services Inc., we work on building your skills in mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness – the four core components of DBT. We aim to empower you to create a life worth living, filled with balance, fulfillment, and lasting change.
