DBT Skills Groups are on Saturday mornings at 10:am (CST) remotely through our secure video conferencing system. You can attend from the comfort of your home or wherever you want to join.

The various stops along the way symbolize the different modules of DBT, including mindfulness, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and distress tolerance. As the journey progresses, you gain valuable skills to navigate the twists and turns of your emotions and relationships. Gradually, you find stability amid the chaos, much like a smoothly running locomotive on its tracks. And at the end of this therapeutic expedition, empowered with newfound tools and insights, you step off the train feeling stronger and better equipped to face life’s challenges head-on.

In most situations, we recommend starting with DBT for Emotional Relief. It includes skills from the four DBT Skill areas: Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotional Regulation, and Distress Tolerance. These 12 weeks are similar to the regular DBT Skills Basics Group but focus on immediate management of symptoms. After the 12 weeks, participants continue with the additional 12 weeks from the DBT Skills Basics Group. If you are not sure which program is best for you, contact an STG professional to help you make a choice during an orientation session.

Starting DBT Services at STG Health is a short, 4-step process.
You'll complete an intake and consent form, as well as two screenings to help us learn about your symptoms.
We'll go over the information and screening results, and then decide which DBT service to start with.
You'ss get a dedicated therapist assigned and get started in 1 to 2 weeks. No waiting lists and no long wait times.
